The Routt County Cattlewomen is sponsoring a luncheon for South Routt Veterans on Veterans Day.
This luncheon is to honor our veterans and their families for their service and sacrafice.
The Oak Creek Fire Protection District will be hosting the lunch at the Headquarters Station at 131 E. Main Street in Oak Creek. Lunch will be served from 11am to 1pm.
ALL VETERANS AND VETERAN FAMILIES ARE WELCOME.
The Routt County Cattlewomen is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the education and promotion of the beef industry. They are NOT a political group. They hold Ranch Days for elementary kids to show them what ranching is all about, we raise money for scholarships, we support our fellow ranchers.
A few years ago The Cattlewomen decided to honor our veterans with a burger cookout following the Memorial Day celebration in Steamboat. However, the veterans of Sout Routt rarely attended that event so we decided to hold a separate event in South Routt just for our vets down here. If the Veterans Day lunch is successful it will be made an annual event.
